New Information Security Policy at the SCI MUNI

From 1 April 2023, information security at the Faculty of Science is regulated by the new Dean's Directive No.1/2023 Information Security Policy. The document regulates access to data, software and hardware of the faculty as an employer. Let's look further at what all is related to the new directive.

Web Development Training in Umbraco for MU Faculty of Science Employees

In March 2023 Department of Information and Communication Technologies prepared two hybrid training sessions for employees on "Training for Web Developers at Umbraco". Practically oriented workshops were designed for beginners who have not yet encountered the editorial system, but also for more advanced individuals.

MUNI Mendel Doctorandus welcomes the new semester with new students and a brand-new logo

The MUNI Mendel Doctorandus programme for talented PhD students opened another admission procedure in January 2023. A total of 14 students across the faculties of the Bohunice Campus and CEITEC applied, and members of the MMD Committee reviewed their applications. After the evaluation, all applied students were admitted to the programme.

HR Award Information Sessions for Employees and Ph.D. students of Faculty of Science MU

During December 2022, information sessions on the HR Award/HRS4R SCI MUNI strategy were held. We reviewed all areas of the action plan that have already been implemented as of 2019 and presented additional tasks to focus on in the next period.

The MUNI Mendel Doctorandus programme has been officially launched!

Although the launch of the new program for active PhD students took place during the PhD day on September 14, 2022, we now had the opportunity to meet the newly enrolled students of the MMD programme face to face for the first time. The meeting took place on October 25, 2022, in the outdoor area of the Bohunice University Campus and was held in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

New Location Added to the Children's Groups Offer at the Faculty of Science of MU

From September 2022, moms and dads from the Faculty of Science can place their children not only in the Elánek children's group at the Campus, but also in the newly established Elánek children's group in the centre of Brno, at Komenského náměstí.

A Look Back at PhD Day 2022

On 14 September 2022, the Bohunice Campus became the host of the inter-faculty PhD day. The event was designed as an information session for new PhD students, providing them with the necessary information regarding doctoral studies, interdisciplinary training opportunities, student competitions, and presentations of popular mobility programmes.
