The workshop, introduced by the Faculty Bursar and the Vice Dean for Development and Quality, was attended by the faculty staff and PhD students, colleagues from HR Award teams of other departments of Masaryk University and also our visitors from the ICRC Research Centre at St. Anne's Hospital in Brno. The workshop was dedicated to the preparation of the institution for the Renewal of the HR Excellence in Research Award and the preparation for the visit of the European Commission representatives to the faculty (Site Visit).
Mary Kate O'Regan also highlighted benefits of implementing the HRS4R (HR Strategy for Researchers) for a research institution and shared useful tips and recommendations for preparing for the Renewal of the HR Excellence in Research Award and the Site Visit.

Mary Kate O‘Regan leads successful HR Excellence in Research programme for the University College Cork and acts as a Lead Assessor for the European Commission in HR Excellence in Research. Mary Kate is also a Principal Investigator on the Horizon Europe funded project CARDEA (focusing on the Role of Research Managers). At UCC, she is responsible for aligning University and HR strategy with researcher career objectives and she created and delivers development programme for PhD students (Odyssey).
