Programme Board

The Programme Board is an advisory body of the degree programme guarantor and one of the key elements in the joint efforts to ensure and improve the quality of degree programmes.

The programme board consists of at least five members and has the following composition:

  • program guarantor chairperson of the programme board
  • at least two other academic staff members involved in teaching within the respective degree programme
  • at least one representative of students enrolled in the degree programme or a graduate of the programme actively studying at MU
  • at least one representative from employers or graduates who is not a member of the faculty's academic community

The Programme Board meets at least twice a year.

The student representative has a full status in the Programme Board and can, therefore, like other members of the Board:

  • participates in the meetings and proposes items for discussion at the meetings of the Board;
  • evaluates the professional level of the degree programme in accordance with the current state of scientific knowledge;
  • evaluates the teaching in the degree programme;
  • evaluates the development plan of the degree programme;
  • expresses an opinion on the plan to change, extend or prolong the degree programme, as well as the plan to cancel the degree programme on the initiative by the faculty;
  • has the right to consult statistical data on the degree programme and other documents.

As a representative of all other students of the degree programme, he/she is in contact with the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the Faculty, monitors the developments in the degree programme and identifies the requirements and needs of other students of the programme.
