Enrolment in the 1st year of follow-up Master's studies takes place on the specified dates on the premises of the Faculty of Science, at Kotlářská 2, Brno, at the “Aula” lecture hall, ground floor of building No. 12.
Graduates of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University need not appear in person for enrolment. Admitted applicants will find information in the e-application on this option. You will receive a notification electronically after the meeting of the admission committee.
Please bring the following for your enrolment:
Foreign nationals (except for Slovaks) applying for studies in the Bachelor’s or Master's degree programmes in the Czech language, whose entrance examination has been waived, are obliged to prove their knowledge of the Czech language by passing an examination in Czech language at the B1 level according to the ALTE Framework not later than when enrolling in study.
The holders of a diploma issued in the Slovak Republic will present an authenticated copy of the diploma without official translation.
If an applicant has completed previous studies abroad, the applicant has to meet one of the following conditions for enrolment:
In the enrolment process, the holders of Bachelor’s and Master’s diplomas from countries subject to “equivalency agreements” on mutual recognition of equivalency of education documents will present a “Confirmation of Attained Education” issued by the Office for Studies at the Rector’s Office of Masaryk University, and an authenticated copy of the diploma with an official translation into the Czech or English language (translations are not required for certificates issued in the English language); This includes education attained in the following countries: Hungary, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Slovenia.

In the enrolment process, the holders of diplomas from other countries that are not subject to equivalency agreements on mutual recognition of the equivalency of documents will present an authenticated copy of the certificate of recognition of foreign higher education and qualification (or an authenticated copy of the decision on recognition of foreign higher education and qualification and an authenticated copy of the certificate of recognition of foreign higher education and qualification, if issued in parallel) issued by any Czech public higher education institution or the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (or by the Ministry of Defence of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic) and also an authenticated copy of a diploma with an official translation into the Czech or English language (translations are not required for certificates issued in the English language).

Proof of the conditions for admission of graduates of foreign secondary schools and higher education institutions is governed by Directive of Masaryk University No. 2/2019.

According to Measure of the Dean of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University No. 1/2019, the amount of the fee for verification of foreign education pursuant to Section 48 (7) of the Higher Education Institutions Act equals CZK 750. Another person can be authorised to enrol for you in studies using a power of attorney signed by you. The signature need not be notarised. A form of the power of attorney can be found here.
In the enrolment process, all students will be photographed for the student’s cards (ISIC); this applies to students outside Masaryk University. Students will be photographed at the Institute of Computer Science of Masaryk University, at Komenského nám. 2 in Brno.
Pursuant to Section 61 (1) of the Act, an applicant becomes a student of a higher education institution on the date of his/her enrolment in study.
If an applicant fails to appear for enrolment and fails to properly excuse himself/herself within 5 days of the enrolment, this is considered an expression of his/her will not to become a student.
